OCTAD Capital Partners today announced a $5.6 million investment through private funds advised by The O.H.I.O. Fund, which seeks to generate strong returns for investors while creating economic growth in Ohio. OCTAD is an operator-led manufacturing investment platform focused on helping legacy industrial businesses succeed and grow. The investment will support OCTAD’s continued expansion into Ohio’s metal stamping and processing industry.

Built on the belief that Ohio’s manufacturing heritage can be revitalized for the next generation, OCTAD pairs private capital with hands-on operating experience to acquire, support, and scale metal stamping, forming, and industrial businesses with deep roots, proven capabilities, and untapped potential. Founders, families, and skilled employees built many of these companies over decades. However, they also need new capital, stronger systems, operational leadership, and often a renewed sense of purpose to realize their full potential.”

“Ohio has no shortage of great manufacturing companies,” said Ray Leach, co-founder and president of The O.H.I.O. Fund. “What many firms need is a path to the next generation of ownership and growth. OCTAD brings operational expertise to help manufacturing businesses evolve, and we’re proud to partner by providing long-term capital through the private funds we advise. Together, we can help strong Ohio manufacturers write their next chapter of growth and success.”

As a manufacturing investment partner, OCTAD combines aligned capital with operational discipline across critical U.S. supply chains, including the aerospace, medical equipment, trucking, appliances, and automotive industries, many of which have a significant presence in Ohio. When that capital is paired with strong leadership, a clear business purpose, and the right tools for employees to succeed, manufacturers can become next-generation industry leaders.

OCTAD and its principals own seven metal-stamping companies with more than 400 employees and $300 million in combined revenue. U.S. metal stamping, which accounts for roughly 20% of the global market, is expected to grow from about $45 billion in 2025 to $66 billion in 2035.

“We’re excited for this partnership with The O.H.I.O. Fund to create lasting value by transforming legacy manufacturers into stronger, more durable companies that create opportunities for employees and the communities they’re located in all across Ohio,” said Andy Smith, managing partner and chairman of OCTAD. “Our team has spent our careers inside manufacturing businesses, so we understand clearly that the next era of American industry will be led by people bold enough to believe that legacy businesses can be reimagined, manufacturing jobs still matter and Ohio can be a model for industrial excellence.”
