Why are you bullish on Ohio?

I’ve always been bullish on Ohio. It’s my home, and I know Ohioans are passionate and determined. We’ve seen this resilience throughout history—from the Wright Brothers pioneering aviation to John Glenn pushing the boundaries of space exploration. That same innovative spirit is alive today as Ohio positions itself at the forefront of emerging industries, attracting major investments in advanced technologies. With shifting supply chains, Ohioans are seizing new opportunities to shape the industries of tomorrow, proving once again that ingenuity and resolve define our state.

What unique perspective or experience do you bring to The O.H.I.O. Fund?

As a Zanesville native and Ohio State graduate, the mission of The O.H.I.O. Fund is deeply personal to me. My career in government at both the federal and state levels has been dedicated to improving economic opportunities and quality of life in Ohio. Through my work with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio and the Muskingum County Community Foundation, I’ve helped expand access to funding and resources for communities. These experiences give me a unique perspective on how the private sector, policy, philanthropy, and local leadership can come together to create meaningful change.

How do you see the O.H.I.O. Fund Impacting Ohio’s future?

The O.H.I.O. Fund is building a dynamic network to make Ohio more self-reliant and economically robust. By harnessing homegrown potential, we’re driving innovation, strengthening industries, and fueling Ohio’s future.
