A former NASA researcher behind a startup developing fire-suppression technology that can prevent and smother flames with inaudible sound waves just quadrupled his seed capital.
Sonic Fire Tech, headquartered in the Ohio City neighborhood of Cleveland, announced it has closed $15 million in total seed funding.
CEO and co-founder Geoff Bruder told Crain’s that the round includes and builds upon $3.5 million in funding raised in October. The round values the startup at $60 million.
